Message a professional
Updated on 2026-09-18
Member–professional messaging is available with a free account, without a KiNaFé subscription. Select ‘Send a message’ on a profile. You can start writing before signing in; sending requires a verified email address and an active account.
A published association receives messages when an authorized, active and verified owner or reception manager is available, even while its linked technical establishment remains a draft. Open Messages from its listing in My activities to reply. Conversations, private attachments, notifications, blocking and reporting use the existing messaging service without a KiNaFé subscription. Without an authorized recipient, the listing shows unavailability and no send button. Email addresses are not public.
Resume or discard a draft
Your text stays in this tab and resumes after login. Drafts are separated by account, role, business and request. A retry key and file fingerprint prevent duplicate sends on retry. The file itself is not stored in the browser: select it again after reloading. Successful sending deletes the draft. To discard it, clear the text and remove the attachment. Logout and loading under another account clear private drafts; closing the tab normally ends them, unless the browser restores it. There is no automatic expiry.
Find the right conversation
Open Messages, search for a contact or filter unread messages, quotes and bookings. Direct conversations are separate from quote and booking requests. Use ‘View request’ for status and actions. Each professional on a quote project has a private thread and cannot read the others’ replies.
Attach a private photo or PDF
Use the paperclip for JPEG, PNG, WebP images or a PDF. Files undergo server format, size and security checks. Only authorised participants can access them, with permissions checked again on download. Photos open in the viewer. Do not send passwords, full card numbers or unsolicited identity documents.
Read unread counts and notifications
Unread counts change when you read the thread. A confirmed send is not proof of reading. KiNaFé alerts, emails and device notifications are separate; receipt depends on preferences and authorised workflows. Alerts may be grouped. Demonstrations do not send real messages to third parties.
Block, report or handle unavailability
The thread menu lets you report an exchange and block or unblock a direct conversation. Blocking does not cancel a booking or quote. An unavailable contact or closed request may leave history readable while preventing new messages. Support receives the report and information needed to review it, without general access to every conversation.
Reply as a professional
Select the business and Messages in your professional area. Only managers and reception staff authorised for that business can access its threads. Another business or revoked access does not grant access. Use the profile and request link to keep the context.
